In compliance with the provisions of NRS 179B and NRS 179D, the HPD provides access to a registry of sex offenders residing in the city of Henderson. Records are categorized according to each offender’s risk level, including tier 3, tier 2, and tier 1.

How Do I Visit an Inmate in Henderson Jail?

Inmates in the Henderson Detention Center may receive visitors after 24 hours in the facility or after being assigned a housing unit. Intending visitors are required to schedule visits by calling (702) 267-5245. Visitors must arrive early for their appointment or risk a reschedule or cancellation.

Inmates may receive two persons per visit. Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m on Wednesdays through Sundays. Each session may be recorded and is limited to 20 minutes. Inmates are entitled to 2 visits a week. Visitors must present government-issued IDs and be dressed appropriately.

The dress code states that clothing items should not have profane or sexually explicit words or images. Other prohibited clothing items include spaghetti tops, short shorts, and mini-skirts. Shoes must be worn at all times, and shirts must always be tucked in.

Court Records

Henderson courts allow members of the public to request physical copies, as well as audio recordings of court records. The Municipal Court handles traffic and misdemeanor cases. The Henderson Justice Court hears small claims that do not exceed $10,000 and civil actions that do not exceed $15,000.
